Most of our Laurel Buys Houses team went to school in the Sacramento area, and we’re proud to be able to give back to our local public schools.
Opportunities to give to worthwhile programs, like the Grant Union High School Girls Basketball Team, give us the chance to reflect on what got us here and support the next generation of amazing and talented women.
Plus, we love this school’s mission statement: “We exist to INSPIRE all students to become AGGRESSIVE and UNRELENTING in their pursuit of academic, social, artistic, athletic and career EXCELLENCE.”
Sacramento Food Bank
1 in 4 children in the Sacramento area are hungry. As members of the Sacramento community, this breaks our hearts.
The largest nonprofit provider of basic human needs in Sacramento County, the Sacramento Food Bank, doesn’t just provide meals, it also offers educational opportunities and family support services that allow people to shape their best tomorrow.
At Laurel Buys Houses, we also aim to provide support to folks who need help today to make tomorrow brighter, so it makes us happy to be able to give to this valuable organization in our community.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Sacramento
The mission of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Sacramento is to inspire and enable all young people, but particularly those in underserved communities, to reach their full potential. They work hard to ensure that every young person that walks through the doors graduates on time, is living a healthy lifestyle, and demonstrates good character and citizenship. By donating to this community resource, the Laurel Buys Houses team believes we’re demonstrating our good citizenship, and hope you’ll consider whether you have anything to give towards this cause.

The Sacramento SPCA has been a valuable part of our community since 1892. Their mission, to foster a loving and compassionate community for companion animals by creating lifelong relationships and saving lives, dovetails really well with our mission here at Laurel Buys Houses. Provide assistance, be compassionate, and help families with a variety of services.

Adopt-an-Elder Foundation
Since its founding in 2001, the Adopt-an-Elder Foundation has been providing assistance to low-income, high risk elders so they can maintain quality of life.
Laurel and our team have been overjoyed to be able to support this community non-profit organization with cash donations and also donations of new household and personal goods. Helping seniors move out of unsafe living conditions and into communities where they have access to better healthcare and proper nutrition is one of the things we do proudly.
