Laurel Sagen – Founder, CFO
Hi, I’m Laurel Sagen, a licensed contractor proudly serving Sacramento since 1999. Born and raised here, I’m passionate about helping homeowners navigate challenging situations with compassion and integrity. Whether you sell your house to me or not, my goal is to guide you toward the best solution—connecting you with trusted resources and helping you move forward with confidence, pressure-free.
Brian – Acquisitions Manager
Brian is our lead acquisitions manager! He is the one who meets with our sellers first and provides them with creative solutions when it comes to selling their home. This guy is a huge team player and is always putting others first! When Brian isn’t communicating with our sellers, he is out on the golf course! Nothing keeps him from swinging his clubs any chance he gets!
Erin – Lead Intake Manager & Marketing Creative
Erin is often the first friendly voice sellers hear at Laurel Buys Houses! As our creative and digital marketing guru, she brings energy and heart to everything she does—from managing our website to shaping the vision behind our projects. A Sacramento State grad with a degree in Art and Marketing, Erin also teaches paint-and-sip classes, donating half her earnings to support local schools and sports teams. A proud mom of three, she truly lives and breathes creativity and community.
Taylor – Lead Intake Associate & Seller Liaison
Taylor is the friendly voice that helps sellers feel at ease from the very first call. She guides homeowners through each step with care and compassion, making the process smooth and stress-free. With a background in communications, Taylor brings professionalism, heart, and creativity to everything she does. Outside of work, she loves crafting and creating personalized gifts for family and friends.
Dan – Chief Operating Officer
For over 30 years, Dan has worked alongside Laurel turning houses into homes. As COO and Head of Marketing, he drives fresh ideas, creative strategies, and innovative ways to reach and help more homeowners. When he’s not leading the team, you’ll find him running marathons across the country with the same energy he brings to every project.
Sam – Project Manager & Transaction Coordinator
Sam keeps our office running smoothly and our projects on track. Growing up in a construction family, she developed a love for flipping houses early on. Now she oversees every renovation—making sure things are done on time, on budget, and with the quality Laurel Buys Houses is known for. A San Francisco State graduate with a degree in Business Administration, Sam blends organization, leadership, and heart in everything she does.
Sean – Operations Manager
Sean keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. As head of Operations, he makes sure the team stays organized, on track, and supported every step of the way. A true team player, Sean’s problem-solving mindset and steady leadership help ensure every homeowner — and every teammate — has the best experience possible.
